Living here as I have for over seven years, I have come to realize that Mr Eric Blair (Orwell) was prophetic when he wrote in 1948 Yes we allow "our" governments to create an enemy that often doesn't exist....and that we need an enemy to have a functioning society" Is this complacency or just management ? - I have heard it said (Mao himself also said it) that "the Chinese are like children needing guidance and protection..." Protection from what, from whom - perhaps from themselves.....?
