Huaihua - main street - fruit man and old woman - passing the time and catching-up on some gossip. This man sells his fruit - usually water melon and bananas - from the same place everyday beginning the day early - he takes his cart to this location before 8am he sits all day and usually stays 'till after 9pm. The 'older woman' is one of thousands in Huaihua who walk the streets day and night collecting - what we would consider to be garbage - they not only help to keep the streets free of waste but also recycle the collected mater. The waste is taken to a central location where they are paid a couple of yuan per kilo.
