2 women painting - not far from the uni - i noticed these two women sitting at the edge of the "footpath' painting the road barrier...The barrier runs along the road for several kilometers - All that is needed is a stool, a brush and a lot of paint.

micro taxi - each monday I catch a micro cab to the "western-campus" its a motor bike with a cab cover - big enough for the driver and maybe two passengers "at a pinch"

A dozen or more men work on this construction site within the grounds of the campus - they climb over the scaffolding without any safety equipment, or seemingly with a second thought. The workers come from the poorest of the provences in china and are paid very low wages.

books on the street - at the entrance to the market I noticed two "book carts" today - stacked to overflowing with books - mostly secondhand - some new - people were browsing these books - just like in a bookstore - and buying these books from the hand carts.
