China's power consumption rose 6% in 2009
Power use climbed to 3.6 billion megawatt hours, the National Development and Reform Commission said in a statement on its Web site. The growth rate is 0.47% point higher than 2008
I cannot imagine what the electricity usage will be, if and when China's growth (which has of course) been been very well reported elsewhere, will be in decades to come, after speaking this week to several people concerning the reported continued rise in China's power consumption, the only explanation I can get is that "China(of course) has a right to continue to grow...."- but actually my only answer is (and only can be) why not learn from the mistakes of the so called developed countries and NOT REPEAT THEM
